Transportation Services

• Transportation for medical appointments: doctor, chiropractor, optometrist, dentist, etc.
• Transportation for shopping: groceries, pharmacy and other basic needs
• Paratransit with assistance service for people in wheelchairs or with reduced mobility
• Transportation for other needs upon approval by your coordinator

People aged 55 and older and adults with special needs (difficulty with mobility, chronic illness, etc.) living in the Prescott-Russell region.

Our services are offered by professional drivers and volunteers. These people are trained to offer you a personalized and safe service. They take infection prevention seriously and ensure that you arrive at your destination on time.

We choose the type of vehicle and driver based on your medical condition, the reason for the transportation, the destination, as well as the day and time of your appointment.

Transportation with a volunteer driver

• Our volunteers offer their services throughout Prescott-Russell as well as outside the region, for example, Ottawa and Cornwall.
• Volunteers are available 7 days a week, as well as in the evening to accommodate people who have medical appointments outside of regular hours.
• This service is available to people who can get in and out of a vehicle and move around safely and independently.

Transportation by minivan with a professional driver

• This service is offered Monday to Friday during daytime in the Prescott-Russell region.
• Travelling outside the region is available for medical appointments only. 
• The minivan is used primarily for medical appointments.
• This service is offered to people who can move safely and independently, or with minimal assistance to get in or out of the vehicle.

Transportation by adapted vehicle for persons with disabilities or reduced mobility

• This service is offered Monday to Friday during daytime for trips in the Prescott-Russell region.
• Travelling outside the region is available for medical appointments only. 
• The adapted van is used primarily for medical appointments. 
• This service is offered to people who use a wheelchair or a walker.
• A professional driver drives this vehicle and provides assistance. The driver will pick you up at your door, help you get on board and settled, and bring you back to your door.

Fees apply to all types of transportation and are calculated based on the number of kilometres.

If there is a parking fee, the customer must pay it.

We accept the following methods of payment: cash, cheque and etransfer.
