FREE SERVICES

REASSURANCE SERVICE

REASSURANCE SERVICE
Volunteer-based daily telephone verification service.


CLIENTELE


Anyone in need of daily reassuring.


OBJECTIVES

1. A daily short comforting phone call.
2. Assure the client that help is available in case of an emergency.
3. A friendly social conversation.


HOW IT WORKS

1. The client contacts the program coordinator who makes the necessary arrangements with a volunteer in order to

2. The volunteer calls the client daily at an agreed time.
3. The volunteer calls the client everyday at the convened time.
4. The volunteer initiates emergency procedures if the client does not answer.
5. The coordinator will find a replacement if the volunteer is unable to call on that day.

CLIENTELE

Any handicapped adult, senior or person with special needs, residing in the Prescott and Russell area.


OBJECTIVES

1. Reduce isolation.
2. Increase socialization.
3. Make continuous, personalized relationships.


HOW IT WORKS

1. The client must call to subscribe to the pre-scheduled visits program.
2. The coordinator makes the necessary arrangements with a volunteer worker.
3. The meetings vary according to the client's needs and interests.

INTERVENTION AND ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (FOR THE ELDERLY)

INTERVENTION AND ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (FOR THE ELDERLY)

CLIENTELE

Any vulnerable person as well as physically handicapped person, and their assistants.


OBJECTIVES

1. Ensure support and intervention in critical situations.
2. Defuse anxiety-related situations.


HOW IT WORKS

1. The client communicates with the area coordinator.
2. The coordinator helps in the identification of problems such as: service coordination, general help in filling out papers for services and program registrations.
3. No fees are paid by the client.

 

ADULTS DAY PROGRAM

The program offers a multitude of social, recreative and educational activities.  These are intended to encourage their autonomy, self-esteem and to break through isolation.  It's a sure step towards a sense of belonging!!!

 

TRANSPORTATION

TRANSPORTATION
Personalized transportation service

CLIENTELE

Any person aged 55 and over or with special needs, residing in the Prescott and Russell area.


OBJECTIVES

1. Offer transportation.
2. Offer the required assistance of transportation.


HOW IT WORKS

1. The client must call the program coordinator 24 hours in advance.
2. The coordinator makes the arrangements for a driver to pick up the client.
3. The client must cover the cost of transportation and parking, if necessary.

CLIENTELE

Senior citizens or handicapped adults, residing in the Prescott and Russell area.


OBJECTIVES

To encourage and improve one’s autonomy.


HOW IT WORKS

1. The client gives his/her name in advance to the program coordinator.
2. Transportation is available upon request.
3. The client must pay the session fees.

DINER'S CLUB

COMMUNITY DINNERS
A nutritious meal followed by social activities.


CLIENTELE


Any person aged 55 and over or with special needs, residing in the Prescott and Russell area.


OBJECTIVES

1. Avoid personal isolation.
2. Make contacts.
3. Feel welcomed and wanted.


HOW IT WORKS

1. The client registers in advance to the volunteers in charge.
2. Free transportation is offered upon request.
3. The client must pay for his meal.
4. Social activities follow the meal.
5. Activities are pre-scheduled.

HOME MAINTENANCE

HOUSE MAINTENANCE
House cleaning, light or heavy jobs.


CLIENTELE


Any person aged 55 and over or with special needs, residing in the Prescott and Russell area.

OBJECTIVES

1. Offer help so that the client can enjoy living in a clean and secure environment.
2. Improve the quality of life of the client.


HOW IT WORKS

1. The client must call the program coordinator.
2. The coordinator will make the arrangements for a person to go to the client’s house.
3. The client pays the worker based on a mutual agreement.

MEALS ON WHEELS

MEALS ON WHEELS
Nutritious hot meals delivered to your home.


CLIENTELE

Anyone with special needs residing in the Prescott and Russell area.


OBJECTIVES

1. To serve a nutritious, well-balanced meal.
2. Offer friendly contact.
3. Check for safety and well-being of client.


HOW IT WORKS

1. The client registers for the service.
2. Hot meals including soup, main course, and dessert are delivered between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
3. The service is either offered on a permanent or temporary basis.
4. Delivery made from one to five days a week.
5. The client pays the cost of the meal.

Frozen meals and special diets are available in some designated areas.

CAREGIVER RELIEF PROGRAM

CAREGIVER SERVICE


CLIENTELE

People 55 years and over or with special needs, residing in the Prescott and Russell area.


OBJECTIVE

Give respite time to caregivers.


HOW IT WORKS

1. The client (family member) calls the area coordinator.
2. The coordinator matches the client with a third party according to a commission agreement.
3. The client has to pay fees for the work done ( third party paid directly by the client).

PERSONAL ASSISTANCE SYSTEM

PERSONAL ASSISTANCE SYSTEM
This device automatically dials up to 4 phone number of parents, neighbours, or friends to alert them to help you when you push on the pendant’s call button of the Personal Assistance System.

It is the security of knowing that help is at your fingertips in a crisis.


FOR THE FAMILY

It is the assurance and the peace of mind of knowing that their close one only has to push a button to get help in case of emergency.
