Prescott and Russell Community Services held a rubbon-cutting ceremony on September 27, 2007 to mark their open house with the mayor Jeanne Charlebois, Lionel Mercier, president of the Board of Directors, Mr. Jean-Yves Lalonde, County Warden, Mrs. Marie Fortier, president of the Local Health Integration Network (LHIN).

Many gathered during the open house activity and exchanged ideas about the future of the Community Services. One of the organisation's priorities is to serve the elderly in order to enable them continue to live in their own homes for as long as possible.

The winning basket was drawned by the Prescott and Russell Community Services on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 for the St-Valentine's Day. Mr. Marc Piché ,president of the Fund-Raising Committee give to Mr. Roger Charrette of Hawkesbury the price. The 2e prize of $ 50.00 was given to Mrs. Françoise Chrétien of Plantagenet.

 

Recently, the Royal Bank Foundation made a donation of $3500 to PRCS.

Kidney Foundation of Ontario
While fundraising for this organization, our general manager, André Bruneau, found himself behind bars. Happily, many parents and friends of Mr Bruneau and PRCS made donations in order to set him free!

 

For the 5th year, Mr. Claude Bathat will do a walkathon for PRCS.

He will cover 130 km. On June 17 of 2006, he will leave Russell very early in the morning. He will pass through Embrun, Limoges, Cheney, Bourget, Clarence Creek , Rockland, Wendover, Plantagenet, Alfred, Lefaivre, L’Orignal and finish in Hawkesbury.

The last 4 years have generated in excess of $8000. The money raised was used to maintain and develop home maintenance services.

It’s our 20th year!
PRCS celebrated it on Saturday, November 6 of 2004, at the recreation center in St-Isidore. There were 125 people present that evening including Mr Don Boudria and Jean-Marc Lalonde to highlight the happy occasion.
